The term "Albergo diffuso" is in the Italian dictionary

Categoria: News

In 2007, 23 years since the term “Albergo diffuso” was first coined in a tourist document, is now included as official Italian terminology.

From now on for those seeking a definition can refer to the dictionary which says that an Albergo diffuso is:

"a complex of small hotel structures, distributed in nearby buildings, with a reception service, restaurant and administration unified."

(Zingarelli, Dictionary of the Italian Language, Published by Zanichelli, Bologna, 2007, pg. 66)

Numerous aspects, such as the presence of a living community (Dall'Ara) guaranteeing good relations and the unique quality of the experience is not conveyed. The insertion of the term in the dictionary however, represents an important step which we hope will bring a subsequent and gradual integration of further definitions attributed to this term for hospitality.
