ADI wins World Travel Market Global Award 2010

Italy’s National Association Of ‘Alberghi Diffusi’ (litterally translated in "scattered hotels") won the World Travel Market Global Award 2010 in recognition of its work in developing the Alberghi Diffusi hotel concept throughout Italy and revitalising communities.

World Travel Market Chairman Fiona Jeffery presented the award to Fabrizio Vincitorio, Manager, Residenza Sveva in Termoli, a member of the Alberghi Diffusi Association, on Monday November 8. World Travel Market Chairman Fiona Jeffery said: “This sort of concept is contributing to a whole new tourism giving travellers a real opportunity to absorb local cultures and get involved in local communities.”

The other 2010 winners are: China International Travel Service Co, Collette Vacations’ Collette Foundation, Canada’s Transat A.T. Inc, Iberia, Brazil-based Trend Operadora, Rabee Zureikat of Jordan’s Zikra Exchange, India’s Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts, Russian Express and Portugal’s Turismo do Alentejo.
