SISAD and the Assembly of the European Regions
Categoria: News
The Assembly of the European Regions (ARE) is the most important network of European inter-regional cooperation. The members of the "Committee 1" of ARE met at Amaro (UD), in Friuli Venezia Giulia, for three days of work which included the seminar “Albergo diffuso, respect for the environment, respect for nature”. The aim of the seminar consisted of illustrating the characteristics and advantages of the Albergo diffuso.
The chairman of Agemont Spa Felice De Toni opened the meeting by explaining the role of the agency for the development of the mountainous regions. The Director of ARE and of the FVG region Riccardo Illy confirmed the attention of the Albergo diffuso in the region, while the regional councillor and business producer Enrico Bertossi outlined a panorama of the national legislation and explained the prospects of the enterprise. The Director of Tourism in FVG Josep Ejarque subsequently presented the new Club and the promotional campaign for the Albergo diffuso.
S.I.S.A.D. (M. Droli), invited by the regional councillorship for production presented “The Albergo Diffuso in Italy, strenght points in Friuli Venezia Giulia and the innovative proposals”.
The speech emphasized how the Albergo diffuso represents the third way of being an hotel, a way which can stand side by side, without substituting the other two styles “The Ritz“ and “The Holiday-Inn”, respectively set up as a model of luxury formed from the Swiss school, and uniformity being a product of the American school.
The Albergo diffuso explained Droli “is a hotel … squared up !” It is superior to a traditional hotel, regarding the square metres of country space, for its privacy, for the services offered to the guest which are firmly rooted in the region and in other areas. Regarding the points of strength in the regional system , the Region of FVG described the advantages of a logistic type, linked to the existent capillary road system and to the availability of anti-sismic houses. However, also in this region a lot can be done to reinforce the system of the Albergo diffuso beginning with the distances between the houses which can be great and need to be reduced. Among the innovations presented was: the “diffuso lunch” from Ad Val in Kam, Sicilia, the “medieval-modern” lodgings in Santo Stefano di Sessanio, and other examples taken from national and regional enterprises. Droli concluded by reminding us of the necessity to create innovation in a continual flow and the problems to resolve are not insurmountable as long as they occur in the initial stages of organization and reinforcement of the Albergo diffuso.
Other spokesmen contributed to the congress including Stefano Lucchini, President of authentic borghs in Italy, small villages nestling on a hill typical the in southern of the Country. Councillor Enzo Marsilio summed up the convention by reminding us that the Albergo diffuso unites the aspirations of all the members of a small community into places where real opportunities emerge in order to develop the area
